10 Kinds of Pronouns

Subject pronoun. 

Yaitu  kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menggantikan  kata benda yang berkedudukan sebagai subjek dalam suatu kalimat.

Kata ganti : I, You, We, They, She, He, and It.

• My name is rainman, I live in Indonesia
• This is my cat, It is very funny

Complement pronoun.

Yaitu kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menggantikan kata benda yang berkedudukan sebagai objek dalam suatu kalimat.

Kata ganti : Me, You, Us, Them, Her, Him, and It.

• They called us on the phone
• Rainman told her a story

Possessive adjective.

Yaitu kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan suatu kepemilikan.

Kata ganti : My, Your, Our, Their, Her, His, and Its.

• Rainman is eating her dinner
• This is not my book

Possessive pronoun.

Yaitu kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan kepemilikan.

Kata ganti : Mine, Yours, Ours, Theirs, Hers, His, and Its.

• I like yours
• This is hers

Reflexive pronoun.

Yaitu kata ganti yang digunakan untuk merujuk pada diri sendiri.

Kata ganti : Myself, Yourself/Yourselves, Ourselves, Themselves, Herself, Himself, and Itself.

• The cat is licking itself
• She asked herself why she was easy to be panic

Demonstrative pronoun.

Yaitu kata ganti yang digunakan sebagai penunjuk.

Kata ganti : This, That, These, and Those.

• This is my best friend
• That‘s good idea!

Relative pronoun.

Yaitu kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menghubungkan klausa.

Kata ganti : That, What, Who, When, Where, Which, Whom, and Whose.

• The boy who is playing football on the field is my neighbour
• The table which is made of oak wood has broken

Interrogative pronoun.

Yaitu kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menanyakan suatu hal.

Kata ganti : What, Who, When, Where, Whom, and Which.

• What should I do?
• Who moved my stuff?

Reciprocal pronoun.

Yaitu kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan hubungan timbal balik.

Kata ganti : Each other and One another.

• They congratulated each other on their graduation
• The debate groups gave feedbacks to one another

Distributive pronoun.

Yaitu kata ganti yang bentuknya tunggal dan selalu diikuti kata kerja tunggal juga.

Kata ganti : Each, Everything, None, Neither, Either, Everyone, Everybody, Both, Any, and One.

• Either boy is my brother
• He should take neither side
